Now only a year after an intense self-training, egg shells begin to turn into delicate etherial laces under his capable hands. Still fascinated mainly by geometric designs, nevertheless he has begun endeavoring to create his own designs, including musical scores of his favorite songs.
Goose Egg
After getting a dental hand piece, a new chapter started in my eggshell carving. It was first on goose eggs that I tried to carve more delicate patterns and test not only the capabilities of my working material, i.e. the quality of the shell, but also my hands.
Emu Egg
During the carving and burnishing the emu egg shells it was a great pleasure to discover the beauty and the sensitivity of the different layers of the shell.
Ostrich Egg
What a change and joy! I still use the Dremel to carve ostrich eggs but with the dental drill a door opened to me in trying more and more complicated lines and compositions.
One of a Kind Egg
These carvings are unique and very meaningful for me, even though they cannot still be compared to the works of many experienced artists. I know I can not make them again because it is impossible to re-create the same mental emotional state giving rise to these works. They were made for our families for special occasions.
